The Hand Painted Double Bench is built from real snowboards or skis mounted on a solid Douglas fir base, with a second board running along the back so you actually have something to lean into. Every surface gets hand painted to your spec before it leaves the shop, turning a piece that already starts conversations into something nobody else has. Handcrafted in Manitou Springs by a team that has been doing this for nearly two decades. It works just as well outside your front door as it does inside. It's the kind of thing guests notice before they've even taken their jacket off.

The base is solid Douglas fir, available in five stains: Walnut, Redwood, Gray, Ebony, or Blue-Grey. For the seat and back you choose either snowboards or skis.

From there, the design is yours. You can reference one of the painted examples in the product photos, describe something you have in mind, or bring a completely original idea. A mountain scene, a color palette, something personal to you. If you can describe it, the team can paint it. When you order, use the notes box to tell us what direction you're thinking. Before anything gets built, the team will reach out to go over the details and share a design proof for you to approve. Nothing gets painted until you sign off on it. If for whatever reason we can't bring it to life, you get a full refund, no questions asked.

A note on fit

The Double Bench works equally well indoors and out. The added back makes it more comfortable for extended sitting than the single bench, so it's a natural fit for an entryway, a mudroom, a covered porch, or right outside the front door.
